*Upon completion of a vocational training programme, you become a skilled employee (“qualifizeierte Fachkraft”). Skilled employees are in demand in Germany and earn more money for their work compared to unskilled workers. So, completing a vocational training.
*Vocational training is a top priority at our group of companies: The WIRTGEN GROUP has over 380 trainees at its German brand headquarters alone, and more than one third of the total workforce was trained in-house in accredited vocational training programs.
The CIRI Foundation (TCF) offers vocational training grants to applicants enrolled in technical skill training programs earning a certificate/certification or professional license. There are four deadlines for vocational training grant applicants; awards cannot exceed $5500 (as of March 1, 2019) per calendar year.
Vocational education includes training that leads to a certificate or degree in a specific occupation. Vocational education programs are organized educational programs that directly relate to the preparation of individuals for employment in current or emerging occupations that require training other than a baccalaureate or advanced degree.
TCF’s Vocational Training Grant applications are entirely electronic and must be submitted using our online system. You must have an approved user account to apply for vocational training grants. Amount: Up to $5500* per calendar year
Requirements:
*CIRI original enrollee or direct lineal descendant
*Must have a high school diploma or GED
*Enrolled in a technical skill training program at an accredited or recognized institution and earning a certificate/certification or a professional license
*Must be attending an accredited/recognized institution
*A 2.5 cumulative grade point average or higher*
Award Details:
*Eligible to receive up to $5500* per calendar year
*Can be funded at multiple deadlines if previous coursework has been completed and as long as the grant cap of $5500* is not exceeded
Award Terms:
*Upon receiving an award, students must maintain all funding requirements in order to remain in good standing with TCF and remain eligible for future funding
*Failure to maintain funding requirements may result in probation and/or infraction status with potential loss of funding
*Fund Uses: Direct Educational expenses including tuition, student registrations fees, course-required book/supplies, and on-campus house and meal plans. Personal expenses in the amount of $500 per calendar year can be awarded only if all other costs have been covered.
*Awards are subject to available funding.
*Applicants will be evaluated based on the information submitted with their application.

Amount: Up to $2000
If you are a first-time, post-secondary applicant to The CIRI Foundation and do not have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, then you may be considered for a Kick Start Award. This is a one-time only award and subject to available funds. You must reapply at the next deadline under the regular guidelines to be considered for additional funding. It is your responsibility to reapply.

*Must be the first term of post-secondary education
*Enrolled in a technical skill training program at an accredited or recognized institution and earning a certificate/certification or a professional license

If you are a post-secondary applicant to The CIRI Foundation who has not attended school in over 5 years and you do not currently meet TCF’s cumulative GPA requirement of 2.5 or higher, then you may be considered for a Restart Scholarship. This is a one-time only award and subject to available funds. You must reapply at the next deadline under the regular guidelines to be considered for additional funding. It is your responsibility to reapply.
Requirements:
*CIRI original enrollee or direct lineal descendant
*Must have a high school diploma or GED
*Has not attended post-secondary education in over 5 years and not currently meeting the 2.5 GPA requirement
*A strong commitment to your post-secondary education and meeting TCF’s requirements moving forward
*Enrolled in a technical skill training program at an accredited or recognized institution and earning a certificate/certification or a professional license

*Direct lineal descendant of a CIRI original enrollee
*Enrolled in a recognized or accredited college, training program, or other authorized post-secondary education course of study while concurrently enrolled in high school or an equivalent program
*Must have a current cumulative 2.5 grade point average or higher
*Must apply using the TCF Jump Start paper application. The application will be available to download approximately 30 days before the deadline.
